Sponsored by the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy, the meeting focuses on “Coal’s Role in the Coming Decades – Energy Security in an Insecure World.”
For the first time, this year’s meeting will be held in conjunction with the Second Joint U.S.-People’s Republic of China Conference on Clean Energy.
Conference sessions will focus on political, environmental, economic and social issues associated with satisfying the growing global demand for energy. It will also explore the significance of coal as a viable source of energy and identify its role as a potential solution to energy demand issues.
The conference will be held from November 17 to 19 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.
